PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

1. Develop new and maintain existing customer relationship.
2. Respond to RFQ and coordinate with global team to generate technical and commercial proposals.
3. Identify new sales opportunities.
4. Maintain awareness of market trends.
5. Design and develop embedded controls and systems, and maintain relevant software and hardware applications and devices.
6. Developing PC based application software for vehicle diagnosing.
7. Developing and debugging SW for In-Vehicle communication features.
8. Update current telematics according to change request from test engineer, application team or marketing requirements.
9. Support production and customer demos.
10. Working with customer responsible engineer for vehicle specific solution and application engineering.
11. Technical interface with customer for product system requirement specification and definitions.
12. Provide technical support and services to customers for SPX diagnostic equipment sold.
13. Intensive communication between customer, global team and engineering experts in English
14. Working in an internationally organized project.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal office environment. Frequent travel to other locations is required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Working knowledge of automotive diagnostics and vehicle interface communication devices is must.
2. Degree in Software Application, Communication Application, Automotive Engineering or other related majors.
3. Familiar with vehicle diagnostic tool, ECU, embedded software and diagnostic hardware.
4. Experienced with communications patterns between VSI-ECU-PC applications
5. Good work ethics and a team player
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills with solid documentation skills
7. Proven ability to work in cross-functional team environment
8. Proven ability to handle multiple projects at one time
9. Ability to work well with challenging individuals and customers
10. High level of technical competency
11. Not afraid to get their hands dirty - “hands on”
12. Ability to work with minimal amount of supervision; Self-starter
13. Confident in abilities - must make quick, accurate decisions
14. Strong leadership abilities - must go “the extra mile” to get the job done

· Good verbal and written communications in both English and Japanese.
